OFWs in Saudi Arabia: How to Compute End of Service Benefits
Employees in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are entitled to receive an end of service benefit. This is when a set of benefits is given to an employee by the time he/she leaves the custody of his/her employer/company.
For domestic workers, the contract is two years, equivalent to 24 months, so the computation is as follows:
a. End of Service Benefits: One month salary divided by thirty days multiply by 1.25 multiply by 24 months (SR0000/30 X 1.25 X 24 = SR 0000.00) NOTE: 1.25 is a result of 30 days divided by 24 months (30 days/24 months = 1.25)
b. Vacation pay: One month salary divided by thirty days multiply by 1.75 multiply by 24 months. (SR0000/30 X 1.75 X 24 = SR 0000.00) NOTE: 1.75 is a result of 21 days divided by 12 months (21 days / 12 months = 1.75)
