Filipinas sent to jail after medical test fraud
A Pinay saleswoman who unlawfully sought the help of a fellow Pinay to undergo a medical examination on her behalf has been sentenced to a three-month jail time. This is according to a report by Khaleej Times.
According to the article, the 41-year-old woman wanted to renew her residence permit despite having a contagious disease. Because of this, she gave her passport and medical test form to her 33-year-old accomplice, a Filipina maid.
Dubai court also ordered the two women to be deported upon finishing their respective sentences in jail. The two women admitted to their offense during investigation.
An Indian blood sample collector was the one who noticed that the person in front of her does not match with the picture on the passport. When the Filipina was confronted by the blood sample collector, she admitted that she was taking the test for her friend.
